When and where: 31 Oct 2026, Johannesburg, FNB Stadium
Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs meet in the Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, 31 October 2026, with kick-off set for 15:30.
The clash between the two Soweto giants is widely seen as the biggest date on the South African football calendar. Both clubs come from the same city, and loyalty to one side or the other is often handed down through families, which is why the build-up starts long before the teams walk out.
The fixture promises a full stadium where the black and white of Pirates comes up against the gold of Chiefs, with the singing usually starting hours before the first whistle. City bragging rights are at stake.
FNB Stadium, on the edge of Soweto, is the country's biggest football ground. Supporters are urged to get their tickets now, so anyone hoping to be in the stands for this one should not leave it late.
