When and where: 17 Nov 2026, Cape Town, Cape Town International Convention Centre
Africa Tech Festival takes over the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 17 to 19 November 2026, bringing together telecoms operators, tech companies, investors, policymakers and startups for three days focused on the continent's digital future.
Organisers expect more than 13,500 people. The programme is organised into six pillars: telecoms and connectivity, data centres, AI, cybersecurity, startups, and digital transformation, which covers cloud services, fintech and software-as-a-service.
For young founders, the startup programmes are the main attraction. Startups can attend or exhibit, pitch to investors and meet enterprise buyers, and the festival is set up as a place to build partnerships with decision-makers from across Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Speakers include South Africa's Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Solly Malatsi, Ghana's communications minister Samuel Nartey George, SABC Group CEO Nomsa Chabeli, MTN Group technology chief Charles Molapisi and OpenAI's Africa lead Emmanuel Lubanzadio. Sponsors and exhibitors for 2026 include Microsoft, Huawei, Ericsson, Meta and Naspers Labs.
Passes can be booked on the Africa Tech Festival website, which also has a sponsorship and exhibition brochure for companies that want a stand on the show floor.
